The VI International Festival of Street Art "TrotuArt" 24.-25.09.2011
The 6th International Festival of Street Art TrotuArt 2011 will be held on 24 and 25 September 2011.
It is a theatre festival located in a few spots in Lodz: the Old Town, Schiller Passage, Rubinstein
Passage and Piotrkowska Street. The biggest attraction of the festival is the Parade along Piotrkowska
Street uniting all the enthusiasts and participants of the TrotuArt Festival. This year's Parade
features additionally 70 "maluch" i.e. the Polish Fiat 126, which gather in Lodz for the Polish
Fiat 126 Enthusiast's Rally. Stilt walkers, clowns, people wearing costumes and theatre masks,
mimes entertain audiences accompanied by orchestra sounds. This two-day event shows the street
art in its different forms, from chamber artistic activities to spectacular performances using
fire and fireworks. This is an annual festival taking place in September. The first edition was
held in 2006 known as the Festival of Street Theatres
(the First International Festival of Street Theatres TrotuArt 2006). The organisers of the
Festival are the Arlekin Puppet Theatre and the City of Lodz Office. Welcome!
